Ever since it appeared in September, 1975, the laptop has redefined the very concept of using a computer because what was considered as being stationary could now be carried anywhere and everywhere for being worked upon. It is IBM which is credited with this revolutionary discovery and since then there has been a dramatic increase in the number of laptop manufacturers, some of the prominent players being Dell, Samsung, Apple and Sony.
